El Dr. Joachim Frank, premio Nobel de Química en el año 2017 y escritor, ha conocido el proyecto Bubisher a través de la Dra. María Pedraza Boti, neurocientífica y socia activa de la asociación Escritores por el Sahara- Bubisher .

FUSUUL (فُصُول)
To young children growing up, time is not yet a closed loop but something like a spiral since the seasons are still doubly transformed: not just by the voyage of the earth around the sun but also by the gradual awakening of their minds. This is why the strict periodic seasons we all know, starting with winter – ash-Shita (الشِّتاء), ar-Rabee (الرَّبيع), as-Sayf (الصَّيف) , al-Khareef (الخريف) – must be taught by grownups. Here Minatu Ahmed and Salma Baba, proud graduates of the seasons class, present a portable garden of their own making. (It is likely an unintended pun that the original meaning of ‘importante’ is ‘to carry weight’). And this is the most beautiful observation: in the blinding light of the Sahara, even the sun must have a pair of sunglasses on.

ESTACIONES (فُصُول)
Para las niñas y niños creciendo, el tiempo no es todavía un bucle cerrado, sino algo así como una espiral, ya que las estaciones todavía se transforman doblemente: no sólo por el viaje de la Tierra alrededor del Sol, sino también por el despertar gradual de sus mentes. Es por eso que las estaciones periódicas estrictas que todas y todos conocemos, comenzando con el invierno – ash-Shita (الشِّتاء), ar-Rabee (الرَّبيع), as-Sayf (الصَّيف), al-Khareef (الخريف) – deben ser enseñadas por adultos. Aquí, Minatu Ahmed y Salma Baba, orgullosas graduadas de la clase de Estaciones, muestran un jardín portátil creado por ellas mismas. (Es probablemente un juego de palabras involuntario que el significado original de “importante” sea “llevar peso”). Y ésta es la observación más hermosa: bajo la luz cegadora del Sáhara, incluso el sol necesita gafas de sol.
